This page lists every content and feature change, newest first, so readers can see the site is maintained. Question-bank corrections come from audits against the Alberta Driver's Guide and from reader reports.

— Clearer construction and merge signs

The Construction Zone and Merge signs on the road signs page were cut off at one edge and showed European triangle signs. They are now drawn in full in the Alberta style: an orange diamond with a worker for construction areas, and a yellow diamond with two lanes joining for a merge.

— Five repeated questions replaced

Five questions asked the same thing as another question in the bank (the town speed limit, the minimum learner's age, flashing green lights, the phone-use penalty and a second school sign). Each one was replaced with a new question on a rule the bank did not cover yet: the 80 km/h limit on rural range and township roads, driving a moped alone on a Class 7 licence, legal use of a GPS while driving, the order of lights on a horizontal traffic signal, and what orange signs mean. All five were checked against the 2026 Alberta Driver's Guide and the Traffic Safety Act. The bank still has 250 questions. The Exam mode card now mentions that you can skip questions.

— Skip button in Exam mode

Exam mode now has a Skip button next to Submit. A question you skip moves to the end of the test and comes back marked "Skipped", so you can answer the ones you're sure of first and return to the tricky ones later. On a computer the S key skips too. Practice and Smart mode still show the answer after every question, so they don't have a Skip button.

— 50 new questions and clearer school signs

The question bank grew from 200 to 250 questions. The 50 new ones cover demerit points, GDL rules, right of way, school zones and school buses, railway crossings, collisions, winter driving and parking, and each was checked against the 2026 Alberta Driver's Guide and Alberta's regulations. The school zone, school crosswalk and playground sign questions now explain how to tell the three signs apart. Tests now mix topics the way the real test does, and a new test no longer repeats questions from your last one.

— Quiz fits your screen, clearer progress, report a question

On a computer, each question now fits on one screen: the road sign sits in a smaller box of the same size on every sign question, and the answers and the Submit button stay in view without scrolling. The progress bar is now split into one small segment per question, coloured blue for a right answer and red for a wrong one, so you can see how the test is going at a glance. Every question in the Answer Review on the results page has a "Report this question" link that opens the feedback form with that question already selected. Practice and Smart mode now explain how they differ: Practice favours questions you haven't seen yet, Smart starts from your mistakes and weakest topics. The menu button turns into a close (X) icon while the menu is open, and picking a language on a phone no longer makes the page jump.

— A calmer, cleaner design

The whole site has a new look built for phones first: softer, easier-to-read cards over the familiar mountain-road photo, clearer buttons and sharper flags. The quiz shows one tidy status line, answer choices are easier to tap, and the results page shows your score as a ring. The Yield sign on the road signs page was cut in half and is now shown in full. Practice Mode is now the recommended starting point. There is still no time limit on the test.

— Practise your mistakes, and 12 clearer questions

Built from your ratings and comments. Your next Exam or Practice test now automatically includes up to 10 questions you got wrong, and Smart Mode starts with them too. On the results page, Try Again now includes every question you just missed, the answer review has a "Wrong only" filter, and every category under 80% gets a "Study this" link. On phones, the language and test-mode pickers are now swipeable carousels where the card in the centre is picked automatically, and the homepage rating card was redesigned with a thank-you note and links to this page and the contact form.

Readers flagged 12 questions as confusing (#29, 67, 69, 85, 92, 104, 126, 152, 153, 157, 168, 169). We checked each against the Traffic Safety Act's Use of Highway and Rules of the Road Regulation, the Alberta Driver's Guide and alberta.ca. Every marked answer was correct, but the wording of all 12 has been tightened in all nine languages. For example, the low-beam questions no longer list several distances that are all technically true.

— Reporting a specific question

When you rate the test and pick "Wrong answer" or "Confusing question", you can now tick the exact questions from your quiz so we can review them.

— Ratings and feedback

After a quiz you can rate it and leave a comment. The homepage now shows the real average rating collected this way. Our editorial policy explains how guides are checked.

— Full question-bank audit

All 200 questions were checked against Alberta's Driver's Guide and regulations. We applied 15 wording corrections in all 9 languages, including one wrong answer (the pentagon school sign).

— Fee correction and two new guides

The knowledge-test fee is a $5 government fee plus a registry service charge capped at $12.60, not a flat $17. We corrected it site-wide. New guides cover the Alberta driving test stages and how to pass the learners test. The editorial policy page was added.

— Eight driving guides published

The guides cover booking the knowledge test, Class 7 to Class 5, GDL demerits, distracted and impaired driving, speed limits and zones, right of way, sharing the road, and winter driving. The learners page now shows 10 sample questions directly.

— Road signs page expanded

The road signs page now lists all 126 signs with descriptions in the page itself.

— Learners practice test page

The learners page has its own playable questions. An independent re-audit led to 12 question corrections.

— Question fixes after reader reports

We fixed questions and cleaned up images after reader reports.

— First full question-bank audit

7 wrong answers and 7 explanations were fixed.
